The NEWTON FAST JAK™ is used as restraint system for Hoist Operators during winching. This harness can also be used to secure other crewmembers to the helicopter (e.g. observer) during Short Haul operations.
This harness enhances the safety of the hoist operator compared to a Gunner’s Belt or chest belt. The harness has attachment points at the front and at the back which can be used to attach the Quick-Out adjustable hoist operator connection strap depending on specific needs. The vest is made out of mesh which allows ventilation of air.

The QUICK-OUT™ hoist operator tether is designed to secure the hoist operator or door observer (or other crewmembers) to the cabin via a lengthwise adjustable belt with quick release. The Quick-Out™ Rapid Separation Carabiner allows release of the system—even under tension. This function is important in case of an emergency.

PERSONNEL RETAINING SAFETY HARNESS

The Personnel Retaining Safety Harness is designed to be used by crewmembers operating outside of the aircraft. Made of nylon webbing and provided with pull tabs and adapters for adjustment. The front has a latch and link assembly with a leather protector and is equipped with a quick release assembly. Includes 11 ft. adjustable Tether that clips onto rear of the harness, with Quick Release Snap.

The Hoist Operator Safety Vest is designed as a safety restraint to be worn by crewmembers operating outside of the aircraft. The vest utiilizes all mil-spec webbing and hardware, and features quick donning mesh vest with snaplike closures. Includes 7 ft. adjustable Tether that clips onto rear of the harness. All straps are adjustable for custom fit.

AVIATION CREWMAN SAFETY BELT

Intended for use by helicopter crew members working near open hatches or doors. Combines a high degree of security with quick releases. This design features a 5″ wide inner belt with two outer MIL-SPEC nylon waist belts. The waist belt buckles are the double locking Quick Release Safety Buckle. The two buckle system provides the extra level of safety needed in the aviation enviroment. A quick adjusting, single attachment strap located in the center back of the belt has a stainless steel auto lock snap hook. Waist sizes 30″ – 48″.
